HUDA BEAUTY; Rose Gold Edition

Happy Saturday beauties! So I finally got to have a play around today with my Huda Beauty – Rose Gold Palette and I have to say, I’m really impressed with these shadows.

Creating this palette, Huda Beauty raised the bar with all the unique eye shades. The palette is full of highly saturated mattes, chrome pressed pearls, and 3D metal shadows. Whether you want lightwear or buildable, the shades deliver maximum payoff for easy on-the-go, or bold metallic and smoky looks. Eyeshadow for me, has always been an important eye accessory, this palette is now my accessory.

Packaging & Price

You can find this palette at online stores such as Selfridges, Cult Beauty etc and it retails at £56.00. The palette comes in a cardboard sleeve which includes an image of Huda Kattans eyes and rose gold details. It includes a product description and ingredients on the back. In the sleeve is the palette, in all it’s glory beneath a clear film lid. I personally was not blown away by this, the palette itself feels too light and flimsy; for £56.00, I would expect something a little more durable.

There are 18 eyeshadows, all beautiful colours and shades which have been chosen to suit every skin tone.  The top row contains the metal – metallic finishes shades named Dubai, Fling, 24K, Rose Gold, Trust Fund and #Blessed.

You then have two crushed pearl shades named Angelic and Moondust.

Finally you have 10 matte shadows called Bossy, Flamingo, Shy, Bae, Black Truffle, Suede, Coco, Maneater, Henna and Sandlewood.

Pigmentation & Texture

First thing I love about these shadows are that they are dense however, the textures differ. Some of the shadows are creamy whilst others can look quite dry and clumpy on your eyes – you will even see some fallout and exaggerated wrinkles and creases. The wear time of the shadows seems to be roughly 6-8 hours.

The matte eye shadows in the palette, are great. When you swatch them, they feel so smooth and soft, also they applied onto the lids easily. They show up beautifully and bright but one downfall – they are not as long-lasting as the metals; 5 hours roughly the wear time.

Today I tried colours Bossy, Maneater, Angelic, 24K and Henna to create a sunset vibed look…

Accompanied by some Red Cherry Lashes and NYX eyeliner – I was really pleased.

The Huda Beauty Rose Gold palette is not the longest lasting or best packaged palette that I have purchased but the palette itself, the colours, textured and effects are beautiful. Is it worth £56.00? Not if you don’t like bold colours or rich pigmented shadows. If however like me, you love a dark, vibrant eyes – yes, it’s worth it.

If you have any questions about the palette, would like any more information or have anything you would like me to review, drop me a comment or email. If you’re not already following my Instagram – you can do at levimariaevans.

As always, you can find the palette and purchase link over at my products page. Have a lovely weekend guys!

All my love, Levi-Maria
